CEO Sleepout – helping tackle homelessness and poverty

Sleeping beneath the stars can be magical, but imagine having to sleep rough every night!

Homelessness and poverty is a big issue across the UK.  According to the latest official figures, the number of people sleeping rough in England has risen for the sixth year in a row.  Statistics suggest that over 4,000 people slept rough across England in 2016. This was 16% increase compared to the previous year, and more than double the amount in 2010.
CEO Sleepout is a charity set up to fight homelessness and poverty. Formed in December 2013 by Andy Preston, annual events held across the UK have raised more than £1 million for homeless causes.
This Autumn, Ben Emmonds, Managing Director of Invest Maintain, will be swapping his warm comfy bed for a sleeping bag. Sleeping outdoors for one night to raise sponsorship from business contacts and friends.
Ben says ” Those that know me know I like my creature comforts.  For one night I will be giving those up to sleep outdoors to raise money for homeless projects.   Many of my colleagues work in property, seeing daily the joys of buying a new property or completing renovation works!  I hope you’ll all join in helping put a stop to there being people who don’t get to experience the joy of a safe place to call home!  So please follow the link below, dig deep and donate what you can spare –!”
Ben will join fellow CEOs at the Nottingham event on 5th October.  For the full list of events and more information about how you can get involved, visit CEO Sleepout.
Last year 80 sleepers braved the cold and raised an incredible £46,700 for local charities.
Invest Maintain wish CEO Sleepout and everyone involved in the events, the best of luck in raising bucket loads of cash!
